Astrato is a no-code framework to build powerful data visualizations and custom data applications that actively drive better business decisions.

Supported Authentication Method

Authenticate to Dremio from Astrato by using a personal access token (PAT). To create one, see Creating a Token.

Creating a Connection to Dremio

1. In Astrato, click Data in the left-hand navigation bar.
2. On the Data page, follow either of these sets of steps:
   • Create a connection from the Data Views section.
     1. Click Data Views.
     2. In the top-right corner, click New Data View.
   • Create a connection from the Data Connections section.
     1. Click Data Connection.
     2. In the top-right corner of the page, click New connection.
3. In the Create connection page, click the Dremio tile.
4. In the Host field, follow either of these steps:
   • If your Dremio Cloud organization is in the European control plane, leave the default value of eu.dremio.cloud.
   • If your Dremio Cloud organization is in the US control plane, specify dremio.cloud.
5. In the Personal Access Token field, paste your PAT.
6. Click Test connection.
7. In the Connect to Dremio page, follow these steps:
   1. Select the project that you want to connect to in your organization.
   2. Select the folder that you want to connect to in your project.
   3. Click Connect.

You can now define a data view from data that resides in the folder that you connected to.
