Getting Started with Dremio
Dremio makes it easy to sign up and get going in very little time.
Sign up for an account by going to dremio.com/get-started. During the sign-up process, Dremio walks you through two steps. The following sections describe both steps.
Set Up Your Dremio Account
When you create your Dremio account, you can choose whether to authenticate with a new username and password or with an existing Google, Microsoft, or GitHub account.
If you authenticate to Dremio with a username and password, you can use special characters for any character in the password except the first character. If you use a special character for the first character in the password, the password will fail.
Dremio sends an email to ask you to verify your email address. If you chose to authenticate to Dremio with a username and password, the email is sent to the email address that you specified on the sign-up page. If you chose to authenticate to Dremio through an existing Google, Microsoft, or GitHub account, the email is sent to the email address that is associated with the account.
Once authenticated, you are redirected to a page from which you can create a new Dremio organization and complete the onboarding process.
-
Click Create New Organization.
-
On the Create New Organization page, in the Organization Name field, enter the name for your new organization and click Next.
-
On the Welcome to Dremio page, choose the option that best describes your Dremio use case and click Next. Your selection does not affect how the onboarding process proceeds.
-
Review the account requirements page and click Next.
Next Steps
You are now logged in to your organization, and the next page is the Add Sonar Project panel. Before you proceed with adding a Sonar project, review and complete the Prerequisites for Configuring Cloud Resources.
Then, you can add a Sonar project using a template (recommended) or manually.
After you add a Sonar project, learn how to navigate Dremio Cloud and familiarize yourself with the administrative options that are available to you at the organization level. You can also invite other people to join your organization. See Adding a User.
