Qlik Sense Desktop
- Ensure that you are using Dremio v22.0 or later.
- Ensure that your operating system is 64-bit Windows 10 or later.
- Download, install, and configure the ODBC driver for Arrow Flight SQL.
- If you want to authenticate to Dremio by using a personal access token (PAT), rather than by using a password, generate a PAT. See Personal Access Tokens for the steps.
Connecting to Dremio
In Qlik Sense Desktop, click Create a new app.
Name your new app and click Create.
On the New app created dialog, click Open app.
Click the menu button in the top-left corner and select Add data.
Select either ODBC or OLE DB in the list of connectors.
If you selected ODBC, follow these steps in the Create new connection dialog:
a. Select the system DSN that you used when you configured the ODBC driver for Arrow Flight SQL.
b. Specify the username to use for the connection to Dremio.
c. Specify either a password or a personal access token to use with the username.
d. Click Create.
If you selected OLE DB, follow these steps in the Create new connection dialog:
a. In the Provider field, select Microsoft OLE DB Provider for IDBC Drivers.
b. In the Data source field, type Apache Arrow Flight SQL.
c. Specify the username to use for the connection to Dremio.
d. Specify either a password or a personal access token to use with the username.
e. (Optional) Click Test connection to find out whether the information that you specified is correct and you can connect to Dremio.
f. Click Create.
You can now select a Dremio space from the Owner field to see a list of tables and views.
