4.8 Private Release Notes

These release notes are private to JPMC and supplement the public release notes for Dremio 4.8.0.

Dremio 4.8 enables any user with theCAN EDIT permission for a dataset to also refresh the metadata for a Data Reflection. See Access Controls for more information about datasets and inherited permissions.

A Dremio administrator must first enable the catalog.refresh.permissions.canedit.enabled support key for your Dremio deployment. See Support Keys for instructions. Users may need to refresh their browsers before viewing changes to the Dremio user interface.
