    Setting Up the Legacy Dremio ODBC Driver for macOS

    The legacy Dremio ODBC driver enables macOS applications to work with Dremio.

    Setting Up

    The following information installs the driver and creates a default system DSN.

    1. Obtain the legacy ODBC driver, if you do not have it already.


    Dremio does not provide the legacy ODBC driver at this time.

    1. Open the macOS DMG file, DremioODBC-<version>.dmg file.
    2. Double-click on the DremioODBC.pkg from the DremioODBC popup.
    3. If you receive the following security popup:
      1. Click OK.
      2. Navigate to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General.
      3. Click Open Anyway where it says “DremioODBC.pkg” was blocked from opening because it is not from an identified developer..
      4. Click Open from the security popup.
    4. Step through the Dremio ODBC Driver for Mac OS X installation.
      1. Click Continue from the Introduction popup.
      2. Click Continue from the License popup and click Agree.
      3. Click Install from the Installation Type popup or change your installation location.
      4. Click Use Password from the Installation popup, provide your password, and click Install Software.
      5. Click Close from the Summary popup. Congrats! Your installation was successful.
      6. Click Move to Trash to move the Dremio ODBC Driver to the Trash.
